Locke & Key: Clockworks #4 is the twenty-eighth issue of the series.
- Lucas Caravaggio escorting Duncan Locke out of the Drowning Cave was previously recalled by Duncan in Locke & Key: Head Games #4.
- When Mark Cho writes their names on the wall in the Drowning Cave (first briefly seen in Locke & Key: Crown of Shadows #2), he puts Erin Voss's name between Rendell Locke and Kim Topher, claiming it is in acknowledgement of her feelings toward Rendell. Mark similarly puts his own name between Ellie Whedon and Lucas Caravaggio.
